Spring Open House

Mana Contemporary invites you to join us for our new spring/summer programming at our quarterly
Open House.

New exhibitions include:
Everything you are I am not: Latin American contemporary art from the Tiroche DeLeon Collection
Curated by Catherine Petitgas, this exhibition in Mana’s 50,000-square-foot Glass Gallery presents more than 60 works of Latin American contemporary art from the Tiroche DeLeon Collection. The title, borrowed from a work in the show by Argentinian artist Adrián Villar Rojas, alludes to the common practice among contemporary artists from the region to subvert the canons of mainstream art to produce thought-provoking, often humorous works.
On view through August 1, 2016

Chittrovanu Mazumdar
The contemporary Indian artist will present sculptural installation work brimming with sensory experience, mythology, and metaphor.
On view through August 1, 2016

Wake the Town and Tell the People
A new group exhibition presented in the 5th floor gallery in collaboration with International Sculpture Center highlights sculptors working across a dynamic range of materials, from porcelain to plywood and bronze to balloons, that call on us to reexamine the pressures of our time.
On view through August 1, 2016

Ongoing exhibitions include:
Made in California: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, covering two floors of gallery space, presents a star-studded selection of contemporary West Coast art from the 1950s to the present. In the first floor gallery, The T’ang Horse: Anthony Quinn, curated by Ysabel Pinyol, offers an intimate look at the late actor’s legacy through the lens of his own art works and art collection. Ayn Foundation continues its year-long solo exhibition, Ayn Foundation Presents: Arnulf Rainer, in a 5,000-square-foot gallery on the first floor. The Austrian artist (b. 1929) is considered one of the most inventive abstract painters of the 20th century.
