Aaron Young

Born in San Francisco, CA, Aaron Young attended the San Francisco Art Institute and received his MFA from Yale University. His work relies on the aftereffects of dynamic, energetic, and often dangerous performances, where he employs actors to perform stunts—like riding motorcycles or skateboards—on specially prepared platforms. Young records these destructive actions through drawing, video, sculpture, and photographs. His work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Serpentine Gallery, and the 2nd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art.
