Doug Argue

Born in St. Paul, MN, Doug Argue attended Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota. His large, often mural-sized paintings evoke a sense of the infinite by fusing elements of the math, science, and language. Argue is the recipient of the Rome Prize (1977) and of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant (1995), among other awards. Argue’s work can be found in the permanent collections of the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, Walker Art Center, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum, and numerous corporate and private collections.
