Jay Batlle

Known as the “epicurean painter,” Jay Batlle’s work offers a critique of decadence and a celebration of the preparation and consumption of food across various cultures. He received his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and attended de Ateliers, an independent artists’ institute run by visual artists in Amsterdam. Batlle’s work has been exhibited at Metro Pictures, Paul Kasmin Gallery, Exit Art, and The Dorsky Gallery in New York, as well as at institutions in Germany, Chile, and the United Kingdom.
