Michael Zansky

Native New Yorker Michael Zansky studied at Boston University and Hunter College, where he worked as a set painter and production designer for film directors including Terry Gilliam, Francis Ford Coppola, and Jonathan Demme. His work spans complex drawings, paintings, sculpture, and installation, and is characterized by its otherworldly, hallucinatory quality. Zansky’s artwork is part of the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others. He is represented by Stux Gallery in New York.
