Pegasus at Mana: Piano Series Season
Pianist, composer, and entertainer Konstantin Soukhovetski will present his own arrangements of beloved operas such as La Boheme, a medley of Broadway hits by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and music by Russian American composer Polina Nazaykinskaya from her recent hit ballet Nostalghia, commissioned by Rioult Dance and premiered at Joyce Theater in New York City.
Konstantin Soukhovetski is rapidly earning a reputation as, in the words of the New York Times, “a young pianist who captivates” with his “distinctive lyricism,” “immaculate technique,” “vigor,” “refinement,” and “drama.”
Moscow-born Kostantin Soukhovestski studied at the Moscow Central Special Music School, under the auspices of the Moscow State Conservatory, with Anatoly Ryabov. He earned his BM, MM, and AD degrees under Jerome Lowenthal at the Juilliard School, and is the recipient of multiple awards.
Currently, Soukhovestski is starring in the Vegas-style autobiographical piano cabaret In His Shoes at Claude’s in the Southampton Inn, Southampton, New York. The show features hits by Madonna and Celine Dion, as well as Broadway tunes and classical music. This season, Soukhovestski opened the inaugural season of the Eurasia Festival in New York City, and appeared with Musimelange and New World School of Music in Miami, and at the Mother’s Day Gala with the Auburn Symphony in Auburn, California. In May 2018, Konstantin premiered a new ballet, Nostalgia, by Russian American composer Polina Nazaykinskaya, choreographed by Pascal Rioult of Rioult Dance, at the Joyce Theater in New York City.
Soukhovestski is also an actor, and is currently producing the online reality show, The Real Pianists Of The Hamptons.
