Black-and-White Photos Chronicle The Early Days Of Rhythm and Blues

"An exhibition titled "The Early Years of Rhythm and Blues: Photographs by Benny Joseph from the Documentary Arts Collection," presented by the The International Center of Photography, will exhibit Joseph's extensive black-and-white archives, spanning the souls who sang the blues, the spirits who changed history, and the occasional moments of everyday life -- a sock hop, a ballroom dance, a local radio station gathering -- that happened in between. The exhibition is on view (by appointment only) at ICP Mana from October 18, 2015, to January 10, 2016. See a preview below."
