"We headed farther north past Journal Square for Mana Contemporary, a vast art space transformed from an abandoned tobacco factory into a multi-use warehouse, which houses eight exhibitions at once, as well as artist studios and an art school. Highlights included a current exhibition of works both created and collected by versatile actor Anthony Quinn. His work in a bevy of mediums — from pencil drawings to large-scale wooden sculptures — was intriguing, but perhaps the jewel of Mana right now is the Richard Meier Model Museum, a striking array of wooden models and metal creations from the celebrated Jersey-born architect. Though keep in mind, the Meier museum is available to tour by appointment only."
