Era of the Bowery


"Arthur Fellig’s photographs of the Bowery in the 1940s and 50s depicts the down and outs, flophouses, and clubs where an upscale clientele mixed with the drunks, drifters and entertainers. A new exhibition at the ICP gallery at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City features 39 prints from the period. Weegee’s Bowery runs from 1 May until 5 August"
