Z Behl

Born and raised in New York, artist Z Behl graduated from Wesleyan University. Spanning installation, photography, sculpture, and painting, her work has been exhibited at 7Eleven Gallery, A.I.R. Gallery, and New Orleans' Contemporary Art Center. Behl has served as an artist-in-residence at Pioneer Works and Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson, and is the recipient of grants from the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. She was the scenic director for the Oscar-nominated film “Beasts of the Southern Wild.”
