Gary Lichtenstein Editions at Mana presents

The Intersection of Art & Architecture:
A conversation with Gary Lichtenstein and Richard Meier

Throughout his career as an architect, Richard Meier has contributed consistently to another, important creative portfolio – one that is composed of collages, paintings, and sculptures. Meier began working with master printer Gary Lichtenstein five years ago on his collages, and they have continued the creative collaboration since.

Join us on the afternoon of April 6th for a lively discussion that explores the creative process of two masters, while examining the ways in which each dynamic role influences the other.

Gary Lichtenstein is a publisher and printer of limited fine art silkscreen editions. Over the course of his remarkable 40-year career, Gary Lichtenstein has published a wide range of silkscreen editions with artists including Marina Abramovic, Karl Benjamin, Robert Cottingham, Bob Gruen, Charles Hinman, Robert Indiana, Alex Katz, John Newsom, Ken Price, and Shelter Serra.

Pritzker Prize-winning architect Richard Meier is known for his international body of work, known for its timeless, classical, iconic design. Architectural projects include the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, the Getty Center in Los Angeles, Rome’s Jubilee Church, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the Hans Arp Museum in Germany, to name just a few.

Tours of Gary Lichtenstein Editions at Mana and the Richard Meier Model Museum will follow the Q&A.
