Spring 2016 Open House

Mana Contemporary invites you to join us for our new spring/summer programming at our quarterly Open House, featuring new exhibitions and open artist studios, including our new BSMT program.

New exhibitions include:
Everything you are I am not: Latin American contemporary art from the Tiroche DeLeon Collection
Curated by Catherine Petitgas, this exhibition in Mana’s 50,000-square-foot Glass Gallery presents more than 60 works of Latin American contemporary art from the Tiroche DeLeon Collection. The title, borrowed from a work in the show by Argentinian artist Adrián Villar Rojas, alludes to the common practice among contemporary artists from the region to subvert the canons of mainstream art to produce thought-provoking, often humorous works.
On view through August 1, 2016

Wake the Town and Tell the People
A new group exhibition presented in the 5th floor gallery in collaboration with International Sculpture Center highlights sculptors working across a dynamic range of materials, from porcelain to plywood and bronze to balloons, that call on us to reexamine the pressures of our time.
On view through August 1, 2016

threeASFOUR: Tree of Life
A new film by dynamic fashion designers threeASFOUR and digital artist Alex Czetwertynski. Tree of Life is a visual leap into the unseen dimensions and connections that bind us, our senses, and the universe, using 3D fractal animation.
On view through July 9, 2016

Florence Academy of Art Presents: Consecrated Reality
Consecrated Reality speaks of the impulse to create as a ceremonious response to the human experience. This exhibition celebrates the process of creation, and of artists who use painting and drawing to reconcile themselves with the world they live in.
On view through July 8, 2016

Galerie Ernst Hilger presents
Ángel Marcos: Hasta Siempre

Examining Havana and Las Vegas as two opposing ways of viewing the world, Ángel Marcos’s photography unites the cities through their shared history as places to gamble. By placing Las Vegas’s empty glamour alongside the bygone paradise of Havana, Marcos attempts to find meaning in the void.
On view through July 31, 2016
