Carlito Dalceggio

Born in a remote Quebec fishing village in 1971, New York-based Carlito Dalceggio is a self-described nomadic visionary who has worked in Paris, Istanbul, Mexico City, and many other locations, making paintings, drawings, sculptures, films, installations, and large-scale public murals. He has also collaborated with musicians, architects, and designers. Dalceggio holds a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and is the founder of Circo de Yakuza, a contemporary-art circus group that has produced numerous events including “Mystic Supermarket,” a street theater festival in Montreal. In 1999, Dalceggio also founded Circo de Bakuza, collaborating with Cirque du Soleil and art directing events including the opening of  Zumanity in Las Vegas; he has also produced opening receptions for W Hotels and l'Oreal Canada. In 2003, he began to present his work in galleries, and in 2013, an exhibition of his work in Istanbul drew over 80,000 visitors.
