Artist Ekaterina Abramova specializes in painting and graphic arts in traditional technique using oil, acrylic, markers,and other materials. She is a multifaceted artist with a style that evokes 21st-century Post-Expressionism and Spiritual Ornamental paintings—which draw on symbolic folk art of various peoples most notably on Russian and Indian mythology. Born in 1979 in Moscow, she graduated from art school with honors and continued her studies at the Vasnetsov College of Fine Arts, Moscow. In 2007, she received her MFA from the I.E. Repin State Academy of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Russia. Abramova has exhibited all over Europe, India, China, and the U.S. Her works are held in the Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation Permanent Collection, New York,, and in private collections in the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, China, India, and UAE. She lives and works in the New York City area.
