The Originals

July 15 – August 31, 2012

Mana Contemporary presents a group exhibit featuring the vibrant community of resident artists housed within its multifunctional complex — with world-renowned painters, photographers, video and installation artists, as well as emerging talent.

Curated by Eileen S. Kaminsky, The Originals highlights the center’s integrated philosophy, while celebrating the first group of visionary artists to join the unique venture.

Ms. Kaminsky is the Founder and the Director of ESKFF. “This center is all about process,” she explains. “Where else in the world can you visit artists in their studios and also see their works displayed in a museum-quality exhibition space?”

The exhibition showcases a curated selection of works by this exciting collective, with several unfinished pieces on view to further illustrate the artistic process. During the opening reception, visitors are invited to enter the artists’ studios and see firsthand how artwork comes to life, from an initial concept to a realized vision.
