Mana Decentralized Conversation: Jonah Bokaer on Building a Diversified Practice and Career

 

Join international choreographer and media artist Jonah Bokaer for a discussion of his multidisciplinary practice and the events and influences that led to the expansion of his career and practice.

Jonah Bokaer is a Tunisian-American choreographer, media artist, and LGBTQIA leader who tours and exhibits worldwide, cultivating a new form of choreography merged with visual art and design. Bokaer is the author of 60 original works, produced in 27 US states, 34 countries, and 292 cities, and has been the subject of 41 museum exhibitions. He is also the founder of Chez Bushwick and Space 428 Hudson, and a co-founder of the Center for Performance Research. Since 2002, Jonah Bokaer Choreography has created more than 14 jobs and generated over 11 million dollars in revenue.
