Rosie Quick

Rosie Quick examines the relationship between mediums in respect to their history and ability to encourage reflection and meditation within a technological age. While Quick holds an interdisciplinary practice, her most recent works consider the accessibility of photography today and Jean François Chevrier’s notions of the tableaux. Quick’s work is fueled by the constant worry that technology is diminishing the ability for consistent moments of reflection and meditation. Quick received her BA from Boston College (2012), her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2015) and her MFA from Pratt Institute (2017). She had a solo show at Deborah Berke Partners, New York (2015), and most recently a group show at the Amos Eno Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2017). Her work is included in several private collections.
